Student Expulsion Policy

A1 Transportation Academy is committed to taking all reasonable steps to ensure that students have the opportunity to successfully complete their programs. The College is also committed to ensuring that all students are treated fairly and equitably.

Students who do not support the academic and ethical goals of the College for themselves and their fellow students may be subject to penalties, up to and including expulsion.

In general, the College will attempt to resolve situations without expulsion. Verbal warnings, written warnings, and suspension may precede this final and most serious action.

Where the College deems that the integrity, safety, or well-being of the College, students, staff, visitors, and other guests is at risk, expulsion may be applied at the College’s discretion at any point in the process.

Conditions for Expulsion

The following outlines the conditions (but is not limited to) under which a student may be expelled:

Breach of Academic Policies and Code of Conduct

All students are required to adhere to the College’s published Academic Policies and Code of Conduct.

Students found under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, or carrying weapons, will be subject to immediate expulsion.

Notification

Students facing expulsion will be notified in writing (in person or by registered mail).
